[help] halo demo crashes

well after a reinstall of windows (due to a bunch of problems that i couldn't fix) i got directx running great. my only problem is the fact i can't play halo. when i load a level on halo for pc demo it gives me a bsod a few seconds to minutes in. i am very sad about this. can someone help me please? thx

well i have the latest drivers. i have an nVIDIA geforce fx 5200 (manufactured by chaintech) and the bluescreen i get is PAGE_FAULT_ON_NONPAGED_MEMORY or something like that. (i know for a fact its 0x00000050) and it says my gfx driver name (nv4_disp.dll)

EDIT:forgot to say it works fine when started in safe mode (not windows safe mode of course. halo safe mode)
