about modding cases PCs and/or macs

i just want to know what kind of modders are there around this forum. i'm a light modder, just making extra 80mm case fan holes and using zalman products. that's all. i also cutted out a huge hole and made a window out of some clear plastic glass to go with it. you know lord pheaton? yep. check out the forums and mods at www.pheaton.com

my mods are:

upgraded graphics card with zalman heatsink zm80_hp heatsink (want to upgrade to vf700 cu

zalman cnps7000b alcu cooler (might upgrade to s700b led or 7700)

replaced all cables with rounded ones

made 3 80mm holes for ventalation

new powersupply from zalman 400 watt

as you can see, i like zalman because my computer is in my bedroom and i have insomia. so i like it quiet. www.zalmanusa.com has cool cooling stuff i would recommend to overclockers and silent lovers and both.

just wondering. anybody mod their mac?

My PC is a hybrid!! It's absolutly moded Chieftec Dragon case with standard 360W power supplier with 2 Papst really silent fans and it's overlocked to almost 460W and works stable!! Then my case - that I'm proud of - as I already mentioned it's Dragon series Chieftec DG-01-BD-U with replaced blue diods for HDD and Power. Inside all my power suplier cables are tight by blue synthetic material. I also replaced all the cables to rounded ones and offcourse all blue. Fans!! Ach... Yes there is no other place for fans in my case, all places are ocupied!! All Papst ultra silent fans, with special noisblocking rubbers and dust filters. I really like when it's quiet so I decided to put noise absorbing material inside my case so it works like charm. ABSOLUTeLY NO NOISE. I also created my own airduct that takes out hot air from my AMD Barton 2,5; overlocked to 3,2GHZ and cooled by Thermalright SLK-947-U, with Papst offcourse. My very old Gforce 3 has also heatsink created by me from scraps of old porcesor heatsinks, It works great with another 80 mm PAPST fan... YES 80 mm. What else... hmmm Just standard HDD Vibe-Fixer I for my HDD and I think thats all. Ohh I almost forgot there is a litle hole on top of my case for remote control receiver, cuz I watch TV on my cute PC. The only noise that I couldn't get rid off is caused by those nasty , noisie dvd-rom...

Uhmm Sorry about that, anyway I've tried Zalman to. I used to have a ZALMAN CPNS 7000A Al-Cu for my CPU. It was really great but doesn;t match to my airduct.

Oh about the silence... Yes I'm a silence lover to! I realy love to listen to the music late night when I'm going to sleep, but I hate any other noise from my case.

OMG 8db and I fought that human can hear from about 20 db!! Mine is about 18 with airduct and without dvd-r on. Please give me direct link for yoshi's case. I have to see it!!

It's just silent and comfortble that's all. If I even have the money to mod it I wouldn't spend 2 cents for it!! I like when it's simple. Cheers man

I had a blue cold cathode but I broke it :slant: My case is really microscopic though,

so I dont think I could fit much more in

impossible. even hard drives make a rukus. it's possible if you have this flash drive as a hard drive, use zalman's tnn heatsink case, cools graphics card, northbridge, and everything passivelly. also, the cd rom has to be diffrent, and has to be replaced by some flash thingy. that's possible then. the things that make noize is fans, hard drive, and other removable drives.
