i did a quick search, but i couldn't find out if anyone has done it yet. i'm trying to change the icon in the system tray for AVG, but everytime i use regedit and replace it, it claims it is modified. i've also tried changing it using regedit and then batch replacer thingie
anyone had any success in this area? help please :-)
i'm not sure what you mean when you say "regedit." are you going into the registry to do this?
try reshacker or pe explorer.
sorry i meant reshacker it says that "this version of AVG has been modified (damaged)" 
The antivirus program check its own files (crc check) to see if it's all okay... so when you change an icon the crc will change and the program will not acept the file... in small words you can't change the icon... but maybe I'm wrong
