today i read in http://www.chip.de/news/c_news_12695159.html about a new tool from microsoft announced with
desktop search for windows toolbar
has anyone experiance / tried it ???
do they try to get the tiger search start earlier than tiger itself???
It's part of M$ new MSN search engine.
Try it if you want... it's actualy pretty good.
ok i tried it - ands i´ve to tell
it works pretty fast if you let the search scan ur complete harddrives for info - i guess this it was is expecting the apple user: a permanent scan ov the harddrive in order to get the search updated all time..........
nice done but has to be modded definitly by someone experianced - for firefox and thunderbird users the connection to outlook and ie is annoying.........no fun ...but for quick search harddrive (or later in modded version) go for it
but a finderclones does it allright also...........

Its in beta stage isn't it.
There is no point modding it now.Even 'stable' Microsoft products get updates twice a week imagine what will be the case with beta software.
yea. i have seen projects that get updated to the hour, and even to the minute. it's not worth the effort of modding only to find that after 5 hours of hard work will be ruined the next hour.
ok ur right about modding in beta - it´s really to early to predict anything and to get the direction these things are goin.............let´s keep an eye on it..........
