what if we could loose those budy lists ?

i know theirs alot of whays to im a user right ? you could put a url for aim and when you open an icon on your desktop it would im that user.

Ok so this is were i'm going @ imagine your comuter without a buddy list "just got the internet back up @ home and could'nt find the right place to place my buddy list window. imagine all your buddies on the desktop well not all the ones in your list but the ones you talk to chat to wathever.

now imagine an AVE desklet that would help you have all your nline friends on the desktop with either heir buddy icon or simply the aim icon and when offlien you could either hide the icons or fade them or turn them black in white.

Ok we could do this with AIM remote i think it has all we need but i have to go study exams tomorow and the rest of the week but should work !

For those using MSN, the Messenger Plus add-on already gives you the ability to put a contact on your desktop. It even changes with the users status.

this is something I have thought of, though not quite in this way.

it would be awesome if there was a way for a desklet to be made that somehow would be able to get the instant messenger groups on the deskop. those would be able to be accessed via the konspose-like feature in avedesk, and therefore we can have buddy list groups on the desktop like adium (I think its adium anyway) without needing to maximize/minimize a buddy list

I'm not even sure if this is possible, but I'd be interested in seeing if its possible in a desklet
