I just attempted to correct the Weather meter problem that others have reported by downloading and installing the new COMMeters.spl - However, when I try to run AveDesk I get the following error:
The instruction at "0x010961CF" referenced memory at "0x00000040". The memory could not be "read".
What have I screwed up now?
OK, I quit OD+ and AveDesk before updating the file - I don't have YzDock, so I guess that doesn't apply to me. I searched my system for all instances of COMMeters.spl and replaced each one. I do have the v2.0.3 of SysStats, and the version numbers of SysStatsCOM.dll and SysStats.dll are the same as what you noted.
However, after replacing COMMeters.spl in OD+, I now get a "YzDocklet.dll is missing" error when I right-click on the dock. Arrrgh!
Should I just start off with fresh installs of AveDesk, SysStats and OD+, then replace the COMMeters.spl file?
Well, I did a complete reinstall of OD, AD and Sysstats...and now the weather thingie works again - even using the old COMMeters.spl
I'm NOT touching it...
