[help] App. Window bottom border

Hi,

I'm sorry for the slightly garbled title, and hope i tagged right (the link to tagging rules in the guide is down, at least for me)

Any way, I was wondering if there was a program that would let me set a bottom border on my desktop, a place for the dock that no window could go into.

I have searched google and forum, but since I cant even describe it properly i had no luck,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean... a "maximum window size" or a "windows margin" to prevent maximized windows from occupying a certain part of the screen? Try searching the forum for "margin"--what you're looking for is either WindowFX, which does what you're looking for, or Hawkeye ShellInit (http://www.hawkeyetech.com/products/freeware.htm)
