small update:
it works with 3G iPods but u need to mod the resources in updater 2.2.2 
there are some SS at Neowin with modded 3Gs.

does anyone know if i update/restore the firmware w/ a win pc will i be able to use it w/ my mac :S
and how does one edit the images once you open ipodwizard, open the updated, and load your firmware? i see the images but i can't drag 'em off into photoshop or anything :S
u save it, edit in photshope or whatever, and reload it.
oh, and restore will break it.
so you will have to wait for a Mac version u 1337, Mac owning dudes

I found it last night, downloaded and already modded all graphics. Now waiting for this little white device to hack it

I loaded the firmware, made my icon, but the "load bitmap" button is greyed out.
anyone else have this problem? other icons before it have the option, but some, including the do-not-disconnect do not

Hey, I'm not sure if anyone would know if this would be possible or not, but I'll throw it out there. I want a Creative Zen Micro for christmas (not sure if I'm going to get one, but oh well), and reading about hacking the firmware for the iPod got me thinkinig if this is something that would be possible on another mp3 player besides the iPod. I didn't even know before reading about this that you could use you own custom graphics on an electronic like that. Would I go about doing this using the same type of process? Thanks!

But I don't wanna.......... I would go with the iPod, but cost wise I would either have to get the iPod mini or Zen Micro, and since the Zen gives me more for the price, I'm going with that. I don't use iTunes, so it would be somewhat of a pain to have to convert them to that format instead of straight mp3. I do have to admit though, the iPod does look sexier than the Zen Micro.
