Thunderbird is a truly great app which, until I get a real job or mail account, I have no use for. Me uses webmail (Gmail and Yahoo!), which are best checked online.
Still good to know for an option!

i`m on dial crap and i wouldn`t like to dload 6 megs just to find it`s not working for me (even thought i DO need M3 build)
Can any of you guys can tell me how to configure "the damn bird" to work with my gmail account? I mean ports (pop and smtp). I followed the instructions but it ain't asking about the pasword and when I try to get the messages it keeps loading endlessly.:confused:

well i just followed the instructions from Gmail and it works flawlessly. you might wanna check your settings again and make sure it`s 100% same as said on gmail's settings page
It doesn´t work for me either it looks like it should, with right pop and smtp adress but it just don't work.
