Well I am writting this message to you on an Apple Pro keyboard on an Athlon based PC.

Both the first iMac style and the new Pro keyboard work on x86 PCs as long as your bios will support the Lagacy USB Keyboard function. The keyboards will work in windows without this function but without this bois function it will dificult to get into your bios or navagate the startup options menus if you need to. If your PC is fairly new just go into the bios before you attach the keyboard and make sure you turn on the USB Lagacy Keyboard support. After thats turned on plug in your Apple USB keyboard and boot your system. Make sure you leave your PS2 keyboard pluged in still and check how everything is working. If all seems fine than shut down your PC and unplug the PS2 keyboard and turn you PC back on. Be sure to hit what ever key you need to so you can make sure you can get into your bios. If that works than you are a go.

By the way, if you buy the newer Apple Pro key board, the on that is either clear with black keys on the white key version the multimedia keys in the upper right hand side will work. This will give your volume up and down and mute. The eject key doesn't work though. If you look around you should find one for $59.99. Some Macintosh stores hit you up for an extra $10. Thats what happened to me. Good luck
