[question] Multi IM app with these features?

Hello everyone, how are you all on this glourious day?

I was wondering if any of you knew of an IM program that allowed you to all of the chat networks but also has:

1) Tabbed Chatting (chatting with in one window to various contacts through the use of tabs)

2) Webcam and voice support (for all networks that use it)

3) Low resource usage (compared to trillian etc)

4) A good array of skins (although not really important)

5) Plugins (although not really important)

6) Unlimited contacts for each network (or at least a higher limit than standard MSN Messenger etc)

7) Most importantly free

Miranda gives you everything but Webcam support. It's free, uses next to zero resources and is skinned by msstyle/wb theme you're currently using. Check it out in action:

How do I import my AIM contacts with Miranda? I checked server-side support, but it shows that every single one of my contacts is offline. This is probably the chief thing keeping me from switching to Miranda.

also, you should post in the miranda forums. it seems like a problem some people have had, and they may have answers.

to answer the poster's question, miranda is a great alternative. there is a netmeeting function built-in, though i've never used it.

there are no "skins" either, but it uses the native windows skinning, meaning it takes the visual styles you're using as its "skin." i don't even use skins. check out my miranda: http://screenshots.haque.net/screenshots/v...nshot-21552.png

@ Pe8er, how did you get the tabbed chatting, and where did you get those cool iChat icons for showing if the person is online/offline etc? Also how did you get the cool pop up thing that shows the person's information and the last message sent etc.

@dreamz, how did you get it to look like that? It's extremely cool man.

servers are being upgraded, so you can't get them at the moment.
