Modding Explorer

I heard that u can mod the explorer so it will look like finder.. how can i do it?

you may have seen a button with a word "Search" on it, which is a universal word for, well, search!

using that nice and innovative technique you can FIND many things you like and need, including the object of your request, the instructions on modding explorer to look like finder.

also there is a thing called tagging, which our beloved admin Timmy doesn`t like (along with people telling n3wbs to search the forums). it helps other members to see what is the thing u ask/post about (is it a [link], [release], [request]) and such.

I was very suprised too!

A good explorer application is called Looca. It doesn't replace your explorer.exe. Instead, it is a stand-alone application that mimics finder and is extremely customizeable. Bzeitler makes tons of skins for it matching his WindowBlinds themes.

To skin your normal windows, you can either use Flyakite's UXTheme.dll Patcher RC1 or you can go to neowin.net for their patcher. This will let you use MSStyles. Alternately, if you would like to have your close/min/max buttons on the left à la mac, you should go to stardock.com and look at WindowBlinds, an application with great skins and a rollup function.
