[help] Picture tagging program

Hi all!

I'm looking for a program that will let me describe/keyword pictures. I should be able to search through this; it will act like a database of pictures.

Preferably, something that embeds this information in the picture file itself, or stores it in a single easy-to-move file. Hopefully, it will be stored in a common format if I want to switch programs.

I'm asking what you use, not some program you just found from Google.

Oh, and Picasa has been suggested. I'll see how its keyword feature works.
