all of the "finders" i tried using on my pc don't work like they should.. i think it's because i have my default drive by the letter F: and i dont have any C: drive... how can i change the drive letter and change all the pathes related to it so windows will work properly and all of the software will work?

Please calm down, a clear mind helps. What I think you are trying to say is that none of the finders will work because your hard drive is infact F:, this is good as it is the same as mine.
Okay what you need to do is to look at the settings for the finder and look for any items refering to the C: Drive.
However, if you really do want to change your hard drive path, which I would not reccomend as it can seriously mess up all the information on your computer, here is what you must do.
In Windows XP you must be logged in as an administrator, then go to the control panel, administrative options (or something along that line) then there should be a link to computer management, you would go into that then it should after a few seconds display a window that you may have not seen before, look for something on the left hand side of that window that says disk or disc managment, once you see it, click on it and right click on the F: Drive, then click change drive letter (or something like that).
There you are.

True, but it is still dodgy to say the least, if you were going to try it, I'd say BACKUP ALL YOUR IMPORTANT STUFF FIRST.
