[request] Safari mod for Tabbrowser Extension

Hi,

I need a Safari mod for Tabbrowser Extension 1.11.2004120101. If I use the previous mod (coming up with Safari skin for Firefox 0.9 - 1.0 PR), all extra-links are opened in new tabs, and the tabs cannot close (click on close button, right-click >>> close tab, Menu >>> Tab >>> Close Tab or Ctrl+W).

I have FireFox 1.0 final.

Please, help me.

Thanks in advance.

I second this request, as my Tabbrowser Extensions (same build) is now unskinned because of compatibility issues with the Safarifox mods.

XanthraX, you can always centerclick your tabs and they will close with any version of Tabbrowser Extensions.

No, If I use the last mods I have, the tabs remains open.

Well, I had a similar problem. What fixed it for me was go to File-Save As..., then cancel as soon as the window pops-up. After that, you should be able to close the tabs. Hope it works for you.

Tried your hint, but no works.

Only the most left tab can be closed with middle click, but other tabs remains locked. Must close and reload the application.

The tabs works well, but not skinned.

Please, If somebody have a good safari mod for tabbrowser extension for Firefox 1.0 final, post it.

The mod I mean is the close button to be in the left part of the tab and the site icon in the left. The tab title must have a black or dark gray colour, not light grey.

I used the latest one from http://beverlyhills.web.infoseek.co.jp/firefox.html and it seems to work fine for me.

I used the tabextensions.xpi file included with the theme I downloaded from http://beverlyhills.web.infoseek.co.jp/safarifox/safari.html but first had to edit it in notepad to increase the value of the max supported version from 0.10 to 1.0.

After that, I just replaced the tabextensions.jar file with the latest one from the first link.

Hope that works for you guys too? :slant:

but back to the original question, instead of modding a buggy and icompatible version of the extensions, can someone mod the newer compatible version for firefox so there will be less bugs and what not?

Think you could post it anyways? It'd be great since there's so many bug fixes in the most recent version. 1.12.xxxx

hmm i posted how to do it somewhere else i guess, but its very easy i do it to every new version that comes out and it works flawlessly.

1. download latest TBE

2. download hills TBE mod

3. install latest TBE

4. open hills TBE mod jar file

5. explore to "contenttabextensions" inside the jar file

6. drag file "tabextensions.xml" to desktop

7. open latest TBE jar file

- located in: C:Documents and Settings%user%Application DataMozillaFirefoxProfilesdefaultextensions{0B0B0DA8-08BA-4bc6-987C-6BC9F4D8A81E}chrome

8. explore to "contenttabextensions" inside the jar file

9. replace "tabextentions.xml" with one from modded jar (on desktop)

10. enjoy the use of all the features.

It'd actually be better to mod the latest TBE since the one on hill's site has major bugs in it. I've been trying to figure out how to change the font color for tab names but I still haven't managed it. Been looking for some help on this issue. Still looking if anyone else knows anything...

...mine works completely fine :?

i dont know if you misunderstood or what, but i posted how to mod the latest TBE right above your post... just using the one xml file from his mod, it will fix the tab color issues and stuff while still letting everything work (as far as i can tell)

Hrm... guess I shouldn't make posts when I'm tired anymore. Duly noted. And thanks.

i think its time for an updated file, because this fix doesnt work with the latest update
