Minotaur (mozilla)

A note ahead of time. I installed aquamoz and it would show up, but once I restarted for the second time, it would go away. It isn't totally ugly, but would be nicer if themes would stick.

Taken from Neowin:

Mozillazine (http://www.mozillazine.org) posted this news a little while ago.

Minotaur (http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/minotaur/m...ur-roadmap.html), the Mail/News client branched from Mozilla, has builds released for Win32, MacOSX, and Linux platforms. The Win32 build was just recently updated using trunk code from current Mozilla builds, and the other platforms have a client using 1.3a Mozilla Mail/News code.

The goal of Minotaur is to break off completely and form a stand-along Mail/News client based off Gecko and utilizing the Mozilla GRE. More information can be found at the above links. Download link provided below.

Looks really promising, a bit experimental for me though

No aqua theme!

Minotaur is AWESOME! The only thing I use mozilla for is the mail app.

The reason Mozilla skins dont work is that Minotaur uses a completly different skinning engine. It uses XUL (like phoenix), so when skins start getting made, they will be much more customizable. Its like comparing Phoenix's customizability to Mozillas, no competition.

P.S. How is is experimental? It is the exact mail app of Mozilla. In fact, mozilla is going to use Minotaur as its official email client. (along w/ Phoenix as its official browser).
