[Preview] iBattery for AveDesk and ObjectDock

iBatteryPreviewUJ.png

This is the first project I have ever done on or for Aqua-Soft, but I hope you guys like it. Currently, it is finished and working properly, however, I still need to send some permissions to some people. I'm not sure how to go about that, especially since both are not members of Aqua-Soft, but I'll try to find a way.

Anyway, although I made these icons myself, they are made to resemble Mac OS X icons. This is more of a graphical upgrade for Haitham Albeik's already great Power Docklet v0.2. I decided to go along with this docklet as it is the only one I've used that hasn't given me problems. Seeing as how this IS an aqua forum, and seeing as how there are no aqua power docklets, I figured I might as well go ahead and release one myself. I hope you like what you see.

Please let me know what you think. It is still my first attempt to do anything like this so please, go easy on me :)

Thanks again!

:o wow that looks real nice!!! :o

Nice job. Im sure you'll recieve help with the permisions if you say who exactly you need permision from. :)

#233064

You said you made the images yourself, so I'm not sure what you need to get permission for? Is it the script? If so, the author usualy includes his/her contact info with the original. If you have the contact info, just send them an email showing what you have done and respectfuly ask if you can use and distribute the portion of their work that you needed.

Edit: BTW... nice work.

so what? i don't have a battery in my desktop pc....

jk! looks cool! :P

What features does the desklet support? I've been using the other Power one, and there are a few shortcomings. Hopefully this will address them...

Thanks for the comments guys :)

In terms of features, this is really more just a graphical upgrade than anything else, and the code I'd be using would be that of power docklet v0.2 by haitham albeik, as that is the only power docklet i've used that is really flawless. i would write up my own code, but a) i have no time, what with school and all, and B) i don't really have a clue.

anyway, but it is haitham albeik that i want to email. the email i found is albeik@yzdocklets.com but i'm not sure if that one is outdated or not. if anyone knows, please let me know :)

thanks again!

Loos awesome, keep it up

Especially the yellow battery. If you get to contact the author, ask him if the AC Power tag can be removed, and just activated whenever the AC plug in is disconnected, so that the only time you see the label is whenever your battery is functioning, and not always showing the AC Power.

Thank you

He has an email link on dockex.com

I emailed him a while ago and he hasn't replied yet, but that might be because it's me :)

Thanks for the comments too :)

Hmm, I'm not sure if I really understand you correctly.

Do you mean that you don't want the little AC Power tag (the small black plug on the bottom right of the charging icons) when it is charging, but you only want it showing when the battery is plugged in and fully charged?

Sorry lol, I'm probably getting it wrong. Can you rephrase your sentence?

Thanks! :)

Hello, it usually says this

AC Power (my computer has the ac plug in into the wall)

67% (x hours left) (my computer is operating with the battery)

I do not like it showing the AC Power tag all the time, it would be great it only to appear when you have the battery running, that is, I wish I knew how to make it to just show the xx% (x hours left),

Thanks for replying, :)

well, you could replace the AC ones, w/ blank/transparent images. lol
