[help] using hsi to set margins to leave the dock uncovered

Hi!

I'm curretly using hsi from hawkeyetech .

It helps me to create margins at the bottom of my computer in order to leave the dock uncovered when I maximize my windows.

However, every two minutes the margin I've set disappears and I have to run the script again, it's very annoying. Does soeone know if there is a way to do so that you don't have to run the script again and again every 2 minutes?

I know you can do it with WinFX however, I want another solution, because WinFX consumes a lot of resources.

I've also read about a software called Xbar, is it gonna work with it?

See also a thread I started (here) that is somewhat related, in the sense of HSI/other programs not keeping consistent margins.

The problem is that HSI and XBar, which I believe I also used, and presumably any other program that makes margins in the same manner, they set the margin once. After that, if something happens, they don't care--the script is over.

I think, and this is just from observations, not any actual knowledge of how the programs interact with Windows, but whenever explorer.exe resets, so do any margins you have.

But it's not just explorer.exe--it's some component of Windows that gets reinitialized whenever explorer.exe restarts. But obviously, when explorer restarts you're probably aware of it.

I've encountered the problem you mentioned while running tclock. I don't know why. But while running tclock, the margins would reset just about every two minutes.

Sorry that I don't have any answers (other than tclock/select other programs don't seem to be compatible with the margins)... but perhaps someone who is more familiar with how the programs manipulate the margins can give some hints as to how we might better control them.

At least I can see I am not the only one in this situation, i feel less sad after reading your lines!!

Hope someone will know how to deal with this proble, although I have to say I am quite hopeless now...
