Much as my edit is comedic gold, they do it because they're sad, lifeless little losers. Don't stoop to their level. The best way to counter vandalism is to clean it up over and over, until they realise that they're actually acheiving nothing and get bored.

Yeah, seriously though, it's a bad idea to counter 'hacking' with 'hacking'.. considering it's tecnhically, you know, illegal and all.
Just noticed but they hosted their sign pic on geocities and it got deleted. So I am taking this to mean that someone complainged to Yahoo! and they did something. If this is the case Go Yahoo!
