Aqua-Soft ForumsAhhhh!, this has happened 3 times now today, i'm working on something and all of a sudden my sursor moves wither up or down. It's not my eyes, and the mouse wasn't even moving. This is gettig annyoing. Is this a virus?

nope, this is a microsoft wheelmouse,the 14$ one at walmart, still has a ball andi hate cleaning it!

Yeah I get that all the time when I don't use a mousepad with my MX500. I believe it's because the imperfections in the desk drive the sensor crazy. It never happens if I use a mouse pad.

Maybe it's the wind... :confused:
I guess the mouse ball might not have settled down properly and the movement could be due to the ball dropping back into equilibrium after some stationary time. :slant:

My optical mouse goes nuts when it goes over the wood knot in my desk. It's crazy. Goes all over the place.

one, make sure you get a good mouse pad.
two, make sure you don't have automatic movement on ( like the automatic go to button feature )
three, get a new good mouse
four, make sure the medium you are working on is smooth and dosen't have any holes or weird stuff like alexman's wood knot. even if you have a mousepad over it you know the story of the princess that coulden't sleep because there was something small inside her multi-matressed bed, yeah.
it's a bit stupid to think of but... was anyone trying to remote control your PC? I did it once with my mum's computer and she didn't know what was going on, her mouse moved by itsefl

My 2nd Apple Pro mouse used to do that all the time, bloody annoying when you put your screensaver on to "turn the lights down" and go to bed, and then suddenly the light comes on 5 minutes later.. >_<
Oh well, no more of that with my wireless Microsoft mouse.. Have you tried cleaning the wheels inside? Can you believe some people never clean them? They're usually filthy, a few old friends used to just refuse to clean theirs, I'd always end up doing it because the cursor just wouldn't respond unless you shook the mouse about..

i actually have to clean mine or it stops working properly. i asked for a optical wireless mouse for christmas, hopefully i can replace this piece of junk!
or maybe someone's using vnc on you computer. i really tried that on my friends. having more than one computers at home is really fun you know. everytime someone's watching a media on my computer, i sneek in my sibling's room and ran vnc and those people get all spooked about it:)
