Samurize Text, Can Shadows Be Added To It?

I have the samurize text for my drives and metering all working very nicely thanks to those here who so generously have helped the rest of us. I would like to know, if the text can be shadowed in any way. I saw a jaguar system that has shadows on the desktop text. Also, anyone have a nice antialiased Lucida Grande Font, or a link to a good one?

I found that adding a second layer of identical text underneath the first layer and making it a dark grayish color, can add the effect of shadow. Move it about 1px to the right and 1px towards the bottom.
