[help] Wonky, ugly fonts :(

Hi everybody,

I just finished installing Flyakites SP2 pack and love it, and to further my mac-experience i installed Adobe Type Manager w/ Soulless' font's, but now all the fonts are really wonky and ugly. Bz and I tried to figure it out but no go lol

Also when i leave my cursor over an object i get this nasty yellow background with it, another pic here:

Things to note:

According to Tweak-XP Pro v3, Cleartype is on

Any input/help would be greatly appreciated, also if this is in the wrong place please move it

Yes and also in Thunderbird, however if i go into IE everything is in bold italics so not much easier to look at heh. Using the 1.0 version of Firefox and 0.9 of Thunderbird if that helps

Check if you have forced fonts on your browser. In Firefox, go to Tools, Options and then Fonts & Colors. I think you might have LucidaMac forced there. Reset them to the web defaults listed below.

Proportional: Serif, 16

Serif: Times New Roman

Sans-Serif: Arial

Monospace: Courier New, 13

MOST IMPORTANTLY, make sure the Fonts and Colors checkboxes at the bottom of the page are UNCHECKED.

Ok, i just did all that, restarted Firefox and it's still the same D:

Do you think this has anything to do with ATM and the Soulless font pack or is it just something else on my end? Anyway i'm up to any suggestions except going back to IE

Try to turn off Soulless pack and get back to ttf Lucida Grande. It should get you sharper edges of glyphs.

Hi Pe8er, ok i de-activated the Soulless pack and now i've got a bold and italacized font lol, any idea what to do next?

Did you have all Soulless fonts activated? If yes, after deactivating it reactivate default windows arial, times new roman etc. And get lucida grande, aquabase and other mac fonts in ttf and install them. Reboot to see effect, ttf fonts sometimes don't update properly.

Alright it's looking good now, just going to fix the font sizes for firefox and everything should be normal. Huge huge huge thanks to you Pe8er and Sid, your help is greatly appreciated
