Okay, what I'm trying to say is this: Is it possible to make a menu that works with an individual item in the system tray, like, say AIM? I have McPinty's Mac OS X Objectbar skin, and I want to be able to use AIM's popup menu without having to look at the whole system tray. Also, is there a plugin or anything for a battery option in Objectbar? I have a laptop, so that would be useful. Like I said, I don't want to have to view the system tray. Sorry, but I just can't explain it very well...
[question] A way to use an individual item in the system tray in OB? (more details)
I think i know what you are trying to say. In the main properties dialog for the skin, add a new 'system tray' instance. Then you can use the filter option to only show the icon(s) you want. I have it so my functional trillian tray icon (or your aim icon) sits in the line of system tray icons, but i get the trillian menu and i can show/hide trillian with the icon. Hope this helps.
I tried that, but the icon is too small, and the menu that pops up is not the same style as the skin's, not to mention that for the battery, I want a Mac OS X style icon and battery meter bar for it.
Okay, now I want to do something else. Instead, I want to emulate the iChat menu. Everything is included for the menu, but the Available thing is always checked, and I want the away, available, and offline things checked only when I'm available, away, or offline, not to mention that I want them to actually do those commands in AIM. PLEASE HELP ME!
