I am 99% sure I'm switching to a PowerMac G5.
Problem is, I dont have the straight up cash (what sophomore in college does? lol). I can definitely make the 50-60 dollar a month payment though.
So does anyone have any experience with the Apple loan? is it worth it? What are some precautions I should take?
While on the topic, I would like to get a dual 1.8, 1gb ram, 160gb HD, 128 ATI video card, wireless keyboard and mouse. Is that a good choice?
I do alot of graphics, but primarily video editing (main reasons why I'm switching, but I'm also fed up with windows for various reasons). Is the jump from 1.8 to 2.0 really noticable (.4 ghz jump, dual processors)? Cause on a PC 2.0 to 2.4 ghz jump isn't worth 400 bucks (IMO).
Please, any help would be terrific. I already did a search on apple loans but didn't find much. I'm going to be looking throroughly through the rest of the board, but I figured I'd make a thread with my specific specs/thoughts.
OH, and one final question. After i get my Mac and transfer all my data from my PC, I would liek to sell it (the PC). My specs are:
AMD Athlon 2400+XP 2.0 gHz
MSI K7N2 Delta MOBO (nforce2), the fully loaded one. 400 FSB
GeForce 5200 128mb AGP Video card, with TV out
1gb pc2100 RAM
20gb, and 80gb hard drives
DVD-Rom
12x CD Burner
Soundblaster Audigy2 NX sound card
2 port Firewire PCI card (onboard stopped working for some reason)
How much do you think i could sell that for?
