Aqua-Soft ForumsApple Announces Dashboard Widget Contest.
The Apple Developer Connection has launched a contest to kickstart the development of widgets for the forthcoming Dashboard feature of Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger. The developer of the winning widget will receive an Apple 40GB iPod and will receive public recognition. Submissions are being accepted from November 5th through the 30th. The contest is open exclusively to ADC members with access to pre-release versions of Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger.

it should be opensource. not only professional pre-release "friends" of apple.
why can't everybody contribute if they want to? that's better for both apple and us those idiots.

Well name other people that are legally using Tiger and know Dashboard requires. I'm sure once Tiger is out, any further competitions would be "open" to everyone.

I think you meant "open" not "opensource," I severely doubt Apple would go around sharing their sourcecode for Dashboard. [insert Rolling eyes smilie that is currently lacking]
And as I said above, for reasons why other people can't enter.. What? They're supposed to just throw some HTML and images into a ZIP and assume Apple are going to spend the time to make each Dashboard-able?

Anyway; Me and Chris will most probably be entering with updated versions of a few of our widgets.. Possibly finish off a couple more to get them in on time.
