Go to Objectbarone of your skinsSkins..maybe something more --> there should be a .obskin file. Open it with Notepad and look:

ShadowBlurText=2

I think so. Fonts have different glyph widths, it's difficult to find 2 different fonts with the same glyph width. So yes, after replacing the font you will have to edit margins (which means push spacebar a million times )
