anyone want trillian 3? i have the full version but i am only allowed to post about the basic one... i found it on a beta site: http://fileforum.betanews.com/download/975697334/1 this might be considered warez so if mods or admins think so please delete my post. anyway, lets pray danimator makes a skin of ichat for this since it has ALL THE iChat features!

some trillian 3 alpha .exe's have been sent to beta testers today. this is EXTREMELY exciting for me, and everyone else who uses trillian. I can't wait to see the improvements!

Its a public ALPHA right now. Nobody can use the pro features unless they have an active subsciption to trillian pro already. The basic and pro use the same installer anyways.
No, anyone can use the pro version. You have the option to sign up for a trial version of the Pro during install.

i got the version for pro and i have to say its better than 2 even in the alpha stage less memory useage alpha hasnt crashed 1 time yet

The memory jumps big time. Ive witnessed it use 30mb before. Trillian 2 pro still does better on the resources, but there are some nice new features in 3 and it looks much slicker. I was hoping for something more though. Im hoping they add some new features before the final release.
i didn't mean exactly all the features. it does have tabbed ims like ichat 3 (Tiger) jaber suport (tiger) buddy icons for others on your list (trillian pro) your buddy icon on the buddy list (basic too!) and support for trillian 2 pro skins on basic so you all can use dan's trillian skin! even without purchasing pro!!!! i tried though and it didn't support pro plugins.You said that there are exactly all the features of iChat!What were you talking about?

By the way, does anyone know if there is a way to move the buddy pictures to the right side of the buddy list and to keep the red ang green buttons on the left side?
@bondjames: i wish there was but unless its in the skin then its impossible. its not in the settings. i searched for it. oh and by tabbbed ims i mean in a window for lets say, my CyBrian1 AIM account: it shows a window with tabs at the top for each person i'm sending ims to with a window for each account. its a new evolution on the container features of trillian. you can set one container up for aqua-soft buddies, one for real life buddies, etc. it all depends on what you want with it.
FYI, tabs are in trillian pro 2 also. Quick tip, you can change tabs with ctrl+tab in tabbed containers in pro 2 and 3.
oh i didn't realize that they weren't only in 3. the cool thing is that trillian 3 has a lot of the pro features in the basic one including tabs. i've used 2 before and never saw a tab though.
The way tabs work in 2 is that you make an "initial container" for all windows and then set that window to a tabbed container. Kinda like the away message container.
