Yes you seem to need SysStats for all the cool "widgets" for AveDesk.. like the weatherwidget and so on..
AFAIK there is no avedesk clock desklet. Only the ones that are available through SysStats...
Do a search on google.. think the latest version is 2.03 I think...
you can download sysstat at www.dockex.com put it into your desklet's folder and proceed as you add an desklet, lemme know if you have any problem
There's one for Kapsules which I wrote, but admittedly its not entirely accurrate.
I seem to be getting a hell of a lot of cpu usage with sysstats. This normal ?
this is normal, at least with my PC. To reduce CPU usage, you could set the widget to be updated every minute instead of every second. To do so, right click on the widget, chose configure meters, then set the update intervall for each meters to 60 seconds. Hope that helps
Yeah well, then the second hand wont move at all lol.
lol hmmm you could remove the hand for seconds coudln't you? You don't need to have the precise time hehe, I do remove the seconds, that saves my CPU usage, otherwise there is no other way to reduce it.
How much does it drop to ? The normal ?
significantly, back to normal I would say, just give it a try
That's the main issue with SysStats, for some repeated functions like seconds or CPU usage updates, it uses more CPU cycles than it should. Its odd in other cases it will use 0% no matter how many sysstat functions with updates are running. I've found its network monitoring to use the most CPU cycles.
I believe Judge is doing a major update to SysStats so fingers crossed, but I also guess it could be a Windows issue from perfmon etc.
