that's lucida grande, it's all over the place here...
that can't be it... I have lucida grande and it definitely doesn't look like that. I originally had a port straight from my friend's mac, then I used bzeitlers that was included with some of his WB skins. I think flyakite has one too, and if so I am currently using that.
*EDIT* why is iceman's lucida so different from what I have?
*EDIT* What can I use to edit a font so that it installs to a different name?(so i can have multiple versions of lucida grande)
*EDIT* I went to make a copy of the Lucida Grande I had to the desktop, but I already had Iceman's on there so it gave me the "Do you wish to overwrite?" dialog, and then all of a sudden the lucida grande turned into bold (not the font property, the font itself changed) and it affected everything on my comp. What happened?
Well, I guess I'll respond since I'm in that screenshot, it is Lucida Grande and I believe it is Iceman's version.
Now i restarted and everything went pretty much back to normal.
*EDIT* I found the problem. In miranda it's only giving me the Type1 choice for Lucida Grande (the one from Bzeitler). It only has a Lucida Grande with the 'a' next to it. The same thing goes for Avedesk. I can't choose the TrueType Lucida Grande. The font names are different in the fonts folder. One is 'Lucida Grande' (the ttf) and the other is 'LucidaGrande'. Bzeitler's font is probably the one my system switched to as it is much bolder than the ttf.
Now the question is, how do I get miranda and avedesk to see the ttf?
*EDIT* Sorry for all the editing, but I keep finding new things. Well i deleted the Type1 and now everythign seems to be working fine. My miranda text is now right, and i even solved another problem not mentioned that when trying to change font weights for Lucida Grande you have to choose mac script, otherwise it won't change. I hate windows.
I think it is Lucida Sans Unicode bold
People under estimate the beauty of that font, I find it better than Grande myself.
Yea, I use that for my dock and for my avedesk labels too, awesome font.
