I noticed alot of people here have nice smooth
sounding music on their web pages, I was just
wondering, where do people get these ? Do they
make them themselves ? Is there a place where
I could download music like this so that I could
use it on my website ?

If you mean music actually playing on the site, NO!
This is worse than Flash. Do you know how annoying this is? Often I'm already listening to music, or my volume is turned up really loud. No music!

i vote no for evil music too :confused: You are better off without it, i know i will as a user :confused:
That's up there with resizing my window...no...worse. ("Often I'm already listening to music") 
I don't like sites with loud music, but some of those soft music is nice, depending on what type and style of site you have.

Pick up a CD from the library, and almost any Classical track will work (just make sure it's not operatic, or intense).

I like to listen to Classical, but I wouldn't really be able to help you with your request. There are tons of music forums out there, though...I like adtunes.com for finding Music in Movies and Trailers.
