a few times, i've tried to search for something using less than 4 characters (which seems to be the minimum). one case, it was searching for a version of something (e.g. 1.4 or whatever it was). it tells you though that it's too short.
thanks

ugh, i hate that!
That restriction has caught me out a few times. Would be a great help if it was lowered, or even removed ![]()
I agree. For example, searching for things like htm , or other filetypes (among other things) is hard to do now. Seph said there was a fix by typing in certain things (boolean values, or whatever), but I couldn't get those to work.

We won't lower the limit (it serves as a fairly good search spam filter), but if you suggest terms you think should be allowed, I can add them to the allow list...
Filetypes:
HTM, DOC, among others.
If I think of more (on a case-by-case basis, when I'm actually searching), I'll PM you or something.
Thanks!

Rather than PMing me, list them here (edit your post), and then anyone can look and suggest things they think need adding...
Also, a full list of filetypes you'd like could be handy.
Can I suggest MSN and PNG? Others will probably pop up in my little head. (sorry about reading this so late)
