[help] iTunes 4.7 install error: "-1603..."

When trying to install iTunes 4.7 on WinXP Home SP2, I keep getting this.

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.

Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

The message box is titled "Feature transfer error", and it happens (as far as I can tell) about halfway through the "Removing applications" section of the installer. Has anyone else had this problem?
