Desklet Drag-'n-drop question

Is the a way to turn off the fade effect when dragging a file/folder onto the desklet? I added an arrow to the desklet and when I drag something over there is this slight fade effect to the desklet. I just want just the arrow to fade in. View the movie to see what I mean....
