Hey, i got a great dsl connection, at 300mbit's p sec sometimes, but with emule, i always have a low ID. i applied the windows xp sp2 tcp/ip limiter patch and still i always get a lowid, even with the proper tweaked settings. can anyone help?
DSL and Emule
I'm behind a router using Optimum Online DSL and when I was going to install eMule, I stopped it because it said that certain TCP Ports weren't open and because of that, I'd automatically get a low-id.
hmm, i already configured my router to let those ports out...
300 mb/s? That doesn't sound like DSL to me. maybe you meant 300 kb/s?
haha i meant megabits. i think? lol yeah 300kb's
I don't know how to "configure my router", can you explain?
Run>cmd>ipconfig
Check the default gateway, enter it in yu0r browser.
That'll (hopefully) be your router control panel type dealie. If you can find out what ports Emule uses, you can forward (IP forwarding) them (in the router control panel deal).
edit: nevermind, "pops" said he already did that o_O
to configure your router, go to the website of thr manufacturer and find the IP to type in and gain access to the router control panel(you will need a username and password, i belive "admin" and "password" are the default one's). go to port forwarding and put in the ports you want to be opened. voila!
All Linksys routers have a blank username and admin as password.
Yea, I've got a Linksys and there was nowhere to configure/forward ports...
ahh its in games and applications
Thanks, I found it and eMule is working fine. It probably won't be my main app though, are there any skins for it?
yup, there is a nice aqua skin, i dont know where u get it but maybe if you search on google, maybe even A-S. good luck!
