[question] removing File/Edit/View from Explorer..

I've got the regfile to do that. But I'm thinking that for some reason I will regret it some time in the future and want to go back to what it used to look like before.

So I'm wondering if anyone has a reg file to revert it back to normal? I've searched and found nothing on it. Of course I can make a backup but it's alot more hassle than a simple regfile...

can't you find out what changes are made, export the appropriate part of the registry, and save that as a reg file?

the best way to go back to your original file is to use a a small command line app called Replacer. Google replacer.cmd. Follow the instructions, and it will create a backup of the original file you wish to overwrite.

it's a reg file, not a dll or exe. ;)

just export the reg file first and use that as the backup.

i know. if u use replacer, u don't need to export the reg file, it makes a backup for you, for those that don't know how to export reg files.

lol why bother going thru all this trouble? After using the reghack, to bring back the file menu just right-click anywhere on the toolbar and click any one of the options. (Address, Links etc.) It'll bring back the file menu. Geez talk about doing things the hard way.
