I have a problem with most of the samurize WEATHER configs....and the problem is that...while the configs display the temperature correctly, they do not display the IMAGE associated with the TIME of the day correctly.
I mean, even if it's NIGHT, the IMAGE displyed is the SUNNY one....instead of the MOONY one...
Is there any way to make samurize recognize the AM/PM part?
are you using the plugin or a script to gather your information? recommend you get the plugin if you are not. it gathers the data more reliably and quicker for that matter.
Yes, the plug-in is the only way to go, but you also need to make sure the path to the icons is correct in order for the correct icons to show.
Yes, I'm using the Weather2004.dll and also using the correct Images.....thing is.....this happens only sometimes.....that's why it baffles me....when it's night and it's cloudy, instead of displaying the image with the moon with clouds, it displays the image of the SUN with clouds....so that's why I feel it cometimes ignores the entire AM/PM thing
i would first look to make sure you have all of your fields set to the right location code or zipcode...
next, check what version of the plugin you have. should be ver .98, released on 10/11. weather.com did some changes to their site recently that required torsius to rewrite some of the plugin. to find out the version, go into the edit mode for your config and click on any data field. go into the tab, 'source' and there will be a button, 'About Plugin'. if you have something earlier, download this latest.
if that's ok, then perhaps try deleting the temp files... you will find them at:
C:Documents and Settings'USER NAME'Local SettingsTempWeather.2004
delete all of the XML files you have in there.
hopefully, one of these solutions will fix it for you...
