[help] Reflection effect in PS
You just have to rotate it, make it sorta grey, fade it out as it goes down....thats about it. Im the suck at specific grapicks, remember.
For a real cheap one, duplicate the object layer, use Free Transform and drag it so the height goes to about -25% or -33% of the original. Then line up the layers and lower the opactity of this new layer.

youre pretty much right, just flip is verticaly and add a gradient mask from white to black and lower the opacity, or use a grey gradient ![]()
Thx everyone, I thought maybe there was a different way to do it, like a plugin
or something.
The best way to get a fading, and more realistic looking reflection is done like this...
1: Duplicate the layer you want to reflect. (Control + J)
2: Press Control + T, right click on the image, and select "Flip Vertical", then press enter.
3: Hold shift and drag the duplicated image down below the original.
4: Select the Ellipitical tool, and make a circular selection from the bottom up.
5: Select -> Feather. Choose a radius of 40.
6: Press delete once, then press "3" to set the opacity to 30%.
7: Control + D to deselect.
All done. Takes a while to get used to, and different backgrounds require different treatment. Anyway, hope I helped. ![]()
