Just a little teaser.

if my input is worth anything...

--thin down the blue bars

--shrink the toolbar buttons a bit

--maybe get rid of the calendar and quick links buttons at the top (who uses them?)

--replace those 2 with a Forums and Wiki button.

--by shrinking them a bit, you can add room for a Resources and About button.

and by the way, did anyone see the LUNAr eclipse recently? (mars, here i come)

Click the Quick Links button, I use that more than any other link on the forums. Calendar I'll prob remove lol, I find that the most useless feature in BB systems.

OK kids so now that you're all boned over the hoax forum skin....here's a thought. The skin is fake. There probably won't be one coz everyone involved in skin making is lazy.

Here's an idea then - get off your arse and make one yourself, when you work a full time job, administrate a large forum, are a web technology consultant, and have to deal with normal day-to-day "real life" stuff as well.

As I've said to people many times before, Tim and I are both very busy at the moment, so you've gotta be patient.

I don't like the folders used to mark each section. I don't like the blue bars - way too thick and I don't like the dark blue background - should be the aqua blue.

Apart from that its great.

It's coming along great. I realize the blue bars have the look of the highlight bar in finder or iTunes, but with so many on the screen at once it takes away from the overall feel of the aqua simplicity. Maybe if the blue bars had the tiger gloss look to them it might be better? I don't know. Maybe worth a try. I'd test it myself but my work PC with photoshop and my G4 are packed up for my move tomorrow. :slant:

Lol, people complaining about the blue bars. That is just in the layout view of the forum. You wont see them EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME...

i think the icons u had in the first teaser really help the skin. i think it would hurt to release it without them. im not sure what goes into skinning vb, but it cant be too hard to drop the icons in , how much longer would it really take? i mean i have waited 2 months for an aqua skin. i can probalby wait a little longer ;)
