[Preview] .Element

Based on the usual Milk concept of a soild white and clean desktop. I wanted something that felt sterilized and yet scientific.

I am still working on this as an complete suite to include two color schemes, "Hyper White and McLaren Grey", an icon set and a trillain skin, system files Logon screen, boot screen.

Oh, if you saw my first Milk Slated start menu screenshots, well I am still working with that thin design, but even better. Still keeping it minimal.

I know some of you think this is like staring at a light buld, but I find it soothing on my eyes actually, specially when there is the right blend of grey/white.

i see some things i like and some not too fond of. first of all, love the two toned task bar, the start button looks good (seems like there's either compression error or incomplete though). like the color, have always preferred lighter colored styles.

not too excited about the min, max, and close buttons. doesn't fit with the whole apple, smooth, slick look. keep it up, let's see the magic you can stir up.

Well, as keeping up, you can't get any simpler than the Milk style of colors. WHITE. I went with a two tone on the start menu and the title bars to ease into the white a little more than the usual soild whites. And I moved away from 255,255,255 white to more of a creamy white. The compression on the JPEG is a lil funky, but the theme itself isn't complete either. The start menu is a mess, thats why I left it out.

I still am not sure how to aproach the min, max and close buttons. Those looked nice , but sometimes they don't fit for this theme.

I'm also tinkering with Icons, can't find any that I really like, and might end up taking a stab at creating my own.

The other thing is, I've gotten tired of rounded corners on all the apple themes. It's nice on certain ones, but on some, it don't look right. And when you Maximize the window it turns into a square anyways.....

We'll see. Trying to add some orginalliaty to an already forumalated style.

Never heard of it, think I got the idea from the Wd9Prom

Heres an updated photo. I am working on a different apple icon as you can see its ****, and I'm gonna replace my caption icons for something a tad bit different and round.

Assuming that he isn't banned and is continuing work, BRILLIANT! Much better min/max/close buttons and a great look overall! Makes me curious about how the Apple button will turn out and if a Windows button is on the way (teachers get confused by an Apple on a PC ).
