Probably the most useful extension out there, TBE, is having major problems with Firefox 1.0PR. Does anyone know if there is a new version out? Compact menu doesnt work either.

Yep, thats one of the problems.
Oh well, I sent off a bug report to the creator, maybe he will fix it.
