[Release] Bz Tiger 4 (for wb 4.4)

Update: Bz Tiger 4

Here is my update to my tiger skin. It includes the regular style and a style for preferences windows such as rundll32.exe The "show all" button in the preferences skin *DOES* work. THe others do not as of yet.. but I am looking for a way to make them function.

Please compare with the screenshot included to make sure all fonts installed correctly. (they should install automatically.)

Let me know if you find any bugs. I will release the graphite version once this version is bug free.

yes you can use skinstudio which is a FREE download from www.stardock.com

Once you open skinstudio... you will see a left hand pane. with a list of sections. You will need to change all fonts to something smaller. Ill post a better tutorial later.

Bz...you continue to amaze me.

But personally the biggest novelty is that you've removed the close, min, max callout buttons on the non-sizable windows just like in your Bz Milk Update (for wb 4.4). Eastetically truely more satisfying IMO. You should include this improvement in all your skins!

Well, now that we've got BzTiger, Bz Panter, Bz AquaSunken Milk, Bz SmoothStripes, Bz Milk.

Only ones missing are OS X Aqua (10.1, was it Puma?) and OS X Faux Fur! Well actually I've got a WB version of Faux Fur (Big Daddy's Faux Fur), but the close, min, max callout buttons are on the right instead of the left and some more graphical glitches.

Any chance you'll consider creating those 2 skins too?

Glad you like the skin.. I have updated 5 others (bz aqua milk, bz aqua sunken milk, xi freshsnow, Soft Aqua and Soft Milk) which I do not have time to upload right now (I will do it sometime tonight) and Eventually I will get to all of them to include the new things I have added.

In the meantime... Here is the update to tiger I promised. Now includes the graphite substyle as well as an extra style for each one called "smooth"

I have also included the required fonts in a seprate folder for you to install manually if your skin does not look like it doesn in my screenshots. There are so many different versions of Lucida Grande etc.. floating around that it is hard to tell which ones you have.

No, seems to be fixed in the new version now.

In the early (yesterday's) version the ok, cancel, etc. aqua buttons on the bottom of windows changed to default window buttons, when mouse moved over. But the version with the substyles you've released a few houres ago doesn't seem to have that 'bug'. I'm not anylonger able to repproduce it anyways.

Only in Opera Browser, but that doesn't count IMO.

Before mouseover & mousover pictures included.

Hope you now understand what I mean.

Otherwise great! Using it right now!!

p.s.: could you please look at Faux Fur.

It has never been done properly. and would rock with your new sans-callout buttons on non-seizeble windows and you logoff/shut down layout sans-displaced 'selection cubes' (hope you understand what I mean, Enlish is not my main Language).

Also, something I forgot in that list is the scrollbars which seem to be one solid color in your theme when in Mac OS X they are 'wavy'.

OK, great theme, yes...
*Desktop/icon text too small. Should be about an 11, possibly bold. Do some side by sides to get it right. I used LucidaMac at 11 and it's perfect.

Substitute LucidaMac for Lucida Grande

*Doesnt seem to utilize Lucida font theme-wide. Check out apple's GUI guidelines. It lists the fonts and where they are used.

*Traffic light colors are a little too bright. They seem to blend in to the white too much.

Just checked my PearPC version of OS X, but I don't notice any signifacant difference...

just wondering.. is it possible to do an exact replica of (working) finder buttons in WB 4.4? ie adjacent back/forward buttons, view buttons, etc.

i think i remember seeing pe8er's themes/screenshots with an exact finder button layout..

wonder why bz hasnt implemented this in his WB themes.. especially considering he's made so many wonderful nexplorer skins with those same buttons

@duckie... I thought I did address most of your issues? List view has been changed, some fonts changed it does utilize some sort of lucida througout. I personally think that LucidaMac everywhere looks like crud on windows. So I wont change from lucida grande. Scrollbars are no longer just flat blue either. This was changed in the update. Menu images have been taken directly from pear pc... so they too should be fixed... Traffic Light images were all replaced as well. Perhaps the only thing I didnt get was the desktop font. I will look into it.
