No built in way as far as I know, but there are several amazing music converter's out there.
The one I use, which is really good, is called dBpowerAMP Music Converter.

No built in APE support, but this is where dMC really gets good-- codecs.
Find the APE codec here:http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-monkeys.htm
Once you download and install both of those, you can convert APE to whatever format you want!
