[help] more icon related issues...

Okay as you can see in this pic (http://hem.bredband.net/b247083/temp/startmenu.jpg) search and run button have not changed icons although I've changed them in IconPhile and rebuilt iconcache a couple of times and tried rebooting. How do you guys manage to change those icons? Is this an issue with IconPhile? (I rather not install IconPackager again for the reason that to use it you have to install packages and you can't make your own "theme" with it)

Another issue, take a look at this pic (http://hem.bredband.net/b247083/temp/opensave.jpg) and notice the save window marked with red. Is there any way to get rid of that space? Because my 128x128 icons do not fit in there and that makes it very ugly. I suppose you could reshack something to get rid of it. But I don't know what.

Some kind of solution You'll find using tool called TuneUp Utilities 2004. Move Your synapses, and go get it (be sure, that Your software isn't illegaly copied and stuff...).

Then You need only good icon editor (if there's a replacer in it too, that's even better).

After few equilibristic combinations, You'll probably reach Your goal.

(BTW, how, for C****t sake, You made those icons oversized?)

I've had a similar issue with IconPhile not applying changes that I've made. I have since changed to IconPackager without the same problems. Perhaps it's really a bug with IconPhile, I'm not sure. My advice is to revert to the default Windows icons, rebuild icon cache, reboot and then reapply the respective changes again. Also, it is not true that IconPackager will only allow you to install packages. You can make individual changes as well (which you can then save as a package if you wish). That's what I'm using it for.

For the 2nd problem, you could use TweakUI to hide the Places Bar altogether.
