for me, it's cheaper and more convenient to have a cell phone than a landline. in fact, with cell phones as abundant as they are, we should be expecting similar migrations.

I transfer tones to my T610 via bluetooth so it's free! I get most of mine off of MyT610.

I picked up a torrent for some tens of thousands of ringtones off Nova a bit ago. You can check if there is similar still available.

yeah, i download them. access to a few thousand ringtones is via subscription costing 100 yen (about 90 US cents) month. it's fun to fiddle around with ringtones, especially since i can use any song as a ringtone, no more ridiculous midi sounds, but real songs
