[question] How to change font color in Firefox tabs

I am using an old theme for Firefox 9 in PR1 and the tab font is white, but I need it black.

anyone know the css I need to adjust to fix this?

In fact, I cant find 'tabextensions' anymore, either. I'd like a copy of that as well.

Tabbrowser Extentions has dropped off the face of the earth, I haven't seen it since 0.8.whatever. I'd also be interested in knowing where this popular extention has gone to.

As for your tab-color problem, this may help you out:

thanks, but that link is outdated...userchrome is no longer in that folder or anywhere that I can find.

Here's TabBrowser Extensions. Compatible from 0.6 to 1.0

I just installed this extension and it screwed up FireFox (1.0PR)!! Themes and extensions menus won't open now as well as options menus and many other things just won't work, also the browser is now slow as hell and even locks up all the time! Since I can't get the extensions menu to open I can't uninstall the extension, I tried just removing the folder but that made things even worse! Now I know this isn't the correct forum to ask for help on this but since the discussion on the TBE was here and this is where I got it, I figured I'd pose the problem here. Li'l help please?

Yeah, had same problem on my desktop, with TBE.

Don't know a fix, although this might work-- try downloading hill's .9 mod (which was updated for 1.0), and use the tabextension.jar file that's in there.

I was just about to ask the same question as Duckie. I was fooling around with Hill's BBX theme and the text color on the tabs is gray against a gray tab. I tried adding a few lines to the browser.css file and all I was able to do is change the tabs background color, which of course made the theme look horrible. I'm not sure I want to try the TBE with all the problems everyone else is having. Any other ideas guys?

Found this at Hill's site:

Q. I can't read the tabs text...

A. You have to install TabBrowserExtensions and replace tabextensions.jar.

Download this file. - Safarifox10PR.zip

Drag and drop tabextensions.xpi into firefox window.

Close firefox.

Put safarifox1.0PRtabextensions.jar in Documents and Settings*Your name *Application DataMozillaFirefoxProfilesdefault (or your nick)extensions{0B0B0DA8-08BA-4bc6-987C-6BC9F4D8A81E}chrome.

I gave it a try and it worked. At least as far as the BBX theme is concerned. Is this what everyone tried and had a problem with? Seems to have worked for me, no major lag/crashes/problems yet. Knock on wood.

Exactly what my problem was - I just got rid of TBE. Here's what I did:

1) Download the .xpi of TBE

2) Drag it onto the active Firefox window

3) Let it install (yes, this is the 2nd time - it may be quite slow)

4) After you drag it on, you should be able to see the extension manager

5) delete both TBE extensions

I'd really like a working TBE :(

yo, check this. it's where i get all my v1.0pr extensions.

Have you guys been remembering to copy the .jar file into your chrome directory? That was one of the steps I forgot and when I tried it the second time it worked like a charm.
