[release] iDisk Utility for Windows skin/mod

If you've ever used the iDisk Utility for Windows, you know the interface is barely up to Windows' standards, much less Apple's. It's a big disappointment.

So here is a skinned or modded version to look more like the iDisk Utility in its native OS. Comes in Jaguar and Panther flavors.

Although I don't use iDisk, it looks good.

My compliments.

Thank you kindly.

You may not have an iDisk, but if you know anyone with an iDisk, you can use this utility to mount their public folder on your PC. Also, having an iDisk is incredibly convenient. I recommend it.

Are you all using the free, trial period iDisk Utility programs right now or do you subscribe to the service??? Just wondering b/c I did pay for iDisk for a few months until I learned about X-Drive which has far better prices but I love the skins PAZL!!!

Thanks,

I have a .mac account and they just upped the total space allotment, although X Drive does have a lot more space. It's a tad more expensive than iDisk, but with that much space, it seems worth it. How would you compare its ease of use with iDisk? Do you miss your .mac account? Are there any extras like with iDisk (syncing, software extras, etc?). Is it cross-platform? Meaning, can I get to it from my Macs? Can the interface be skinned or hacked :) ?

@UNION Jack: iDisk is online storage through Apple. Check the links at the bottom of my first post.

PAZL - I can't say that I know all of the answers to your questions but I do know that X-Drive is compatible with both Mac and Linux as they are continuing to better develop both platforms so that they too are up to standard as the support is for PC users. As far as pricing goes it's about $50.00/monthly for a 5gb account with two months free offerred if you pay for the whole year up front. Luck for me.....I had just the basic 500mb subscription which was $10.00/monthly and encountered some service problems.....contacted customer service (which was excellent) and wrote a letter of praise to X-Drive regarding their quick response to my concerns. Well the next week I received an offer for a free one year subscription to a 5gb account in exchange for my permission to use a quote from me along with my full name on their website so of course I agreed to it. PM me and we can chat more........

So, the solution you say is, priase X Drive, and you get 1 GB for free? :P Nice skin by the way. Althought I doubt I will ever pay money to get 250 MB of storage.
