Moving many desklets at once

Would be useful. Are the location values stored in one file, or are they stored in each desklet?

there is a theme.ini file where all settings are stored (at least that`s the case with 1.1 )

Another question ... is there a function to selectively hide/show certain desklets? Right now it seems there is just a pane with all the desklets.

Cp displays all currently running desklets and i personally don`t care about desklets being displayed there since i rarely have it open

but if ur talking about show/hide desklets via a keyboard command....

I meant something like...I have desklet A and desklet B. I decide one day I'm tired of seeing desklet B but I don't want to delete it, just disable it for now, and so it can be reenabled later.

You will be able to extend 1.2's control panel with custom scripts that can do things like the above with the selection inside the control panel list. I already use this to manually unhide my CD-ROM shortcut.

Maybe this kind of custom tagging will allow you to scriptedly mass manipulate your desklets, but for multiple selection with the mouse, AveDesk would need to get ownership of the desktop which would interfere with many other apps out there. We shall see what we can do.

Ooh, that's a tasty screenshot .

Might be years, but I'm still saying a prayer everyday and waiting for AveDesk 1.2 .

Other than that, I have nothing to contribute to this thread- although the Extensions idea, especially the show/hide one-- is a nice one.
