i think you might find some nice deals at your local electronics store (at least better than apple)
Just make sure you get the DDR with the right timings, I have heard Apple G5's don't boot without the correct RAM timings.
Why would this be in the software forum, may i ask?
Make sure they are perfect matching pairs of 2.5volt, 184pin, 256Mbit, 400Mhz, PC-3200 DDR SDRAM DIMM. and you will be fine. I used kingston for my latest ram boost. No problems here.
