Adobe golive CS or Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004?
It depends on personal taste... I like GoLive coz I can edit stuff in PS directly... think of what your finished site/design is going to be, and use the best tools for it...

when you want to do professional web-coding, you have to use Dreamweaver -
the way photoshop and golive slice the images is not the way you do good html.
If you want to do a good page do it with dreamweaver/photoshop and slice your image by hand.

they both are about the same for me (macversions), but i prefer using bbedit & cssedit

Oho, let's not start this again...Orange specifically asked for a choice between GoLive and Dreamweaver, not Dreamweaver and Notepad.
I'm sure there's another thread for posting your opinion about how Dreamweaver bloats the code, or Notepad is a waste of time...I would post there, kjwebb.
My opinion: I've never tested GoLive, but Dreamweaver is always a solid bet...IMO, it's to Web Design what PS is to Graphic Design-- kind of the industry standard.

um. I wasn't telling Orange about it, I was just saying that there is pro's that use a text editor.
I personally use Dreamweaver MX (the orignally one). No code bloating.

Yeah, adobe have fallen behind macromedia on web applications, I don't mean PS, but whit golive, I get the feeling that Dreamweaver is "bigger". If I remeber it right, golive, or what Adobe called the software at that time, was before Macromedia released Dreamweaver, and when it came, more and more people start using it.. But Adobe have made a great design collection in the Creative Sutie =) Somehow it just feel right.. Adobe = graphic design. Macromedia = Web.

I don't do so much programing my self, it's the best design tools I want.
I'll will still use Dreamweaver and look if Golive "got it". Im using flash, but not fireworks, perhaps I will try that one as well, anyone know how to link file in Dreamweaver so it opens a (blabla.gif) automatic whit PS? or is there somthing wrong whit my installation?
There is somewhere in the options (I am too lazy to load up dreamweaver to check) an option to choose your favourite editor.
Personally, I use both, depending on what I am doing. If am just coding straight with plenty of text and s*** i use DW, I also use DW for building Web applications and coding in Dynamic languages.
Conversly, I use GoLive for Heavy Graphics stuff, pretty low maintenance sites etc.
Personally I'd have to say I prefer Dreamweaver just because I use it more and am used to the interface more...
