Ways to make money

Hey,

recently my grandfather has stopped doing his job in the recyling buisniness,and is now focusing on welding art and jewlery and antiques. is there a way to get known with your talents? The things he makes with his welder are so awesome and very creative and i think that he needs to mass produce them and get some money out of it. he really needs the money now since he quit the recyling job and i would really like to help him get a new, cleaner career than hauling trash. so i guess what im asking is that if anyone knows of a place, a site to goto and submit things or a person who looks for unique art and will hire or get someone started on mass production, that would be great.

HAHAHA those bugs are cute =) And I think your right, he does need a better

career then hauling trash, but I think however that mass-producing his artwork

would ruin it, cause people would treat it like fakes, and not unique pieces of art.

I think maybe the best alternative would be for him to open a small shop

somewhere, (perhaps in the basement of his own house if he cant pay the rent ?)

He might also be able to get in contact with other people that do such things,

or try to get on TV shows (I dunno about other places, but in Oregon they have

a weekly program where they show artists like your gramp).

hmmm thats a thought, we have a PBS show called Made in Maine that we might try. I just wish there was some outlet we could take these too and get some interest

Start with flea markets, I know it sounds cheezy, but thats a great way to get your name known.

Google "Unique Art" find some sites that promote smaller artists, see if they will do a feature on him. Also search for nature lovers or something to that effect. What some people view as art, others may view as lawn deco etc. It can be profitable.
